Content Management
System for a Large Financial and Banking Solutions Company
Overview: The client
specializes in providing financial and banking software
products and services to customers across the world. They
had set up a content-rich website, which they needed to
update regularly. This procedure was proving to be too time-consuming
and required the involvement of an experienced web developer
to create and publish content every time changes were made.
The client wanted to simplify and speed up the content management
process.
Challenge: The project
challenge consisted of developing an easy-to-use interface
that would enable any authorized employee of the client
to make changes to the site. The system would have to support
multiple privilege levels for users.
Genie Solution:We developed
a local web-based application on which an employee could
make content changes offline and publish these to the site.
The interface was designed to allow formatting of web pages
even with minimal knowledge of HTML. An administrator could
create users with various privilege levels to maintain site
content.
Results: The client
is now able to make content changes to the website more
easily and the content management process can be carried
out without expert intervention.
